FAQ
How do I place a booking?
To book a guide call or email Vizit. Please provide the following information: type of walk, date, departure time, language, number of people. When all details have been discussed, the booking will be confirmed.
How far in advance should I book?
If you would like to organize an activity with us, it is best to take an option on the guide(s) right away. Later you can then confirm or cancel the booking.
How small/large can the group be?
Maximum twenty to twenty-five people per guide, depending on the type of walk. Are there more of you? Then the group will be split. For culinary walks with dessert, you will meet again at the last restaurant.
In principle, there is no minimum. Just keep in mind that for culinary walks the price may be adjusted.
What languages are guided in?
Most of our walks can be guided in Dutch, French and English. The theme walks, however, are not. Do you have another language in mind? Ask us, this varies greatly from city to city and from walk to walk.
When can the tour take place?
Walks without food can basically take place whenever you wish. Walks with tastings can only be organized during the day, when the stores are open. Culinary walks can be organized in the afternoon or evening, taking into account the opening hours of the restaurants.
Where does the tour start and end?
The appointment location depends on the walk you choose. Start and end points are often different. Is the end point important to you? Let us know and we will see if your request is feasible.
How do I recognize the guide?
The guide wears a Vizit badge and also gets the cell phone number of someone in your group. If necessary, the guide will call at the time of departure and you will always find each other. Having problems with departure? Call 09 233 76 89 and we will contact the guide.
Are the walks possible for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties?
Our walks are on average 3 km long. If someone is a wheelchair user or has difficulty walking, please let us know when you make your reservation. Please be sure to let us know: can the person get out of the wheelchair and climb a few stairs to get inside?
Can I also attend a tour individually?
We regularly organize walks on individual registration. See our agenda for this. You can register via the website.
What about bad weather?
Unfortunately, we have no direct connection to the weather gods so we cannot predict the weather. Our guides are ready for you in all weathers. So in case of bad weather, please make sure that the group has appropriate clothing.
What is the price of a tour?
The price is always listed on our website at the bottom of the hike explanation.
How to pay.
Payment is made upon receipt of the invoice. Guided tours are invoiced in advance. For tours with food and drink, the invoice is sent after the activity. Reservations for large groups require an advance invoice.
Including or excluding VAT?
Ordinary walks covered by our non-profit organization are exempt from VAT. Walks with drinks or food are inclusive of VAT for individuals. If you have a VAT number as a company, the prices for culinary walks are exclusive of VAT.
What budget do I choose?
The higher the budget, the more freedom the chefs have to put together their menu. But even if you choose the starting budget, you will already be presented with a beautiful menu.
Where do we eat?
Where we eat remains a surprise! We work with a wide range of restaurants and do not use standard routes.
What do we eat?
What is served remains a surprise. The chefs are given "carte blanche" and prepare something according to the budget chosen by the client. Special dietary wishes for vegetarians, persons with allergies, pregnant ladies,.... you can let us know so that the chefs can take them into account.
What if the number of people changes?
Are you one less or one more? Please let us know, both by phone and by mail. If this happens three days before the tour we will charge a small fee. On the day itself the restaurants decide whether or not to charge the absent guests.
